John M. McDonald
CEO and Conflict Management Specialist

John worked as a teacher in NSW and became a consultant to the New South Wales Department of Education for its New Arrivals Refugee Program for two years. In 1986 John became the Principal Adviser to the NSW Police Commissioner on youth and juvenile justice, a position he held for ten years. In 1996 he received the prestigious Fairfax Leadership Award in Ethics for his work in policing. He then worked for the Australian Federal Police and with the Australian National University as a consultant on the establishment of an alternative approach to conflict in the community. John co-authored the book Transforming Conflict, which is used as the standard text for people responding to complex conflict in the workplace.


Richard D. Hart, JD, C.Arb
Vice-President Global Business Development and Conflict Management Specialist

Richard has over 17 years of experience in the field and presents internationally on conflict management and dispute resolution topics. Through his work as a practicing lawyer, mediator and arbitrator, Richard gained substantial insight into the challenges facing organizations. He has a degree in law and background in international relations from the University of British Columbia, is a civil mediator with the Mediation Roster Society of British Columbia, and holds various professional designations, including that of Chartered Arbitrator.


Stephen D. Hart, PhD
Director and Threat Assessment Specialist

Stephen is an internationally recognized expert in the field of assessment and management of violence risk. He is also a professor of Psychology at Simon Fraser University, Canada. Stephen has conducted training for legal, law enforcement, corrections and mental health professionals throughout North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Having graduated with a Ph.D. in clinical and forensic psychology from the University of British Columbia, Stephen has authored or co-authored 150 scientific books, chapters and articles. He has also provided expert testimony before courts and tribunals at all judicial levels throughout North America.


Patricia Massitti
Chief Operating Officer and Conflict Management Specialist

Patricia Massitti has over two decades of building fiscally responsible companies, teams, and corporate systems. She has held senior positions including Director, Corporate Secretary, VP Corporate Administration & Communication, Director Human Resources, and Chief Operating Office. She has successfully instituted recruitment and training plans, leadership development programs, mentoring and coaching, and organizational design. She also has been involved in the effective integration of human resource policies and cultural coordination following acquisitions and mergers and management changes. She has worked for a range of companies including start-up technology businesses such as Zedi Canada and Hostway, to major multi-national corporations including Baker Hughes, a multinational oil & gas service company, Intrawest, and Royal Bank. Most of Patricia’s experience has focused on providing the foundation and support to create an environment of success for an organization’s most important asset, its people.
